A Week in Amish Country

We had a really nice week which allowed us time to visit with friends…new and old. Sunday 7/22 We had a knock on our door and the gentleman on the other side of it introduced himself as ‘Ricky’, someone who followed our blog and also was a Heartland Owner.  His wife was out in the … Continue reading »

Redwood National Rally

We started our week off with a visit to the Heartland corporate office in Elkhart to meet with Andy W so he could walk through a coach with a floor plan we’re interested in.  There aren’t many out there yet but he had a couple on the factory lot for us to take a look … Continue reading »

The Flu Strikes

Michael was given a small drone for Christmas and pulled it out on Saturday afternoon to give it a test flight.  At first he was trying to test it out inside the house and I had visions of it getting stuck in my hair (you may remember THIS) so I sent him outside. The drone … Continue reading »

We and about five other couples were due to head 290 miles south to Tyler, Texas today.  We planned to leave about 9:00 am and it sounded like several others did too. Wrapping Up the Oklahoma Chapter Rally

Saturday was a pretty quiet day for us as we didn’t do a whole lot. We stayed at the park, hung out inside as it’s been so darn hot here. Michael started washing the ‘love bugs’ off the front cap on Thursday and then waxed it on Saturday.   I did some laundry and made some … Continue reading »

Crafts, Steaks & Trains

This morning Barbara W. led about ten ladies in a craft.  We were asked to bring a t-shirt that we didn’t mind cutting up but the actual craft was kept a mystery until we got to the rally hall. We ended up making a tote bag from the shirts.  Much like the ‘tie’ blankets that … Continue reading »

Heartland Family & A Fine Swine

We had a nice lazy morning!  And it felt SO good.  It was just 52 when I got up about 7:30 and it felt wonderful to cover up with the ‘minkie’ blanket that Zack brought back for me from Korea last year. We had bacon eggs, biscuits and gravy for breakfast (yum!) and watched a … Continue reading »

Thursday 8/24 Michael was back to work on the Anderson Valve but found that if he turned the water pump on and ran off the tank…no water!  Oh oh.  Nothing is ever easy is it?  He put in a call to Anderson valve to help do some trouble shooting but the gentleman he needed to … Continue reading »
