This morning we helped Dan and Karen move the golf carts that the service team will us this week while they’re here from the factory to do minor work on the coaches at the rally.  We had 14 carts to move from one of the 4H barns to the service area so that they’re all ready for the service team when they get here Monday morning.  Michael and Dan, being former military men, made sure that they were all lined up in a perfect row.

When we got back home (after taking a cruise around the fairgrounds, of course!) we both went to work on different projects.  Michael worked on getting some things out of the basement that we’ll be putting on the ‘For Sale’ table in the Marketplace and then moved on to ‘putzing’.  :-/

I went to work on making an appetizer for this afternoons Appetizer Meet & Greet.  I wanted something easy and not hot.  I perused my Pinterest boards and finally found a recipe for Mexican Pinwheels and decided to go with that.  I got them whipped together and chilling in the fridge fairly quickly and then just had to slice & plate them shortly before we headed over to the Nelson Pavilion.

We went over to the Meet & Greet about 2:45 pm, visited with a few people, enjoyed a HUGE array of appetizers and definitely got our fill.  All but 3 of my pinwheels were gone (thankfully!).  We ended up heading home about 4:15 pm.

Back at home I worked on my next menu and watched several episodes of TV shows that are starting to fill up the DVR.  Michael took the opportunity to do a little napping in his recliner.

We stayed home for the rest of the day…not doing much of anything…mostly continuing to clean out all the shows stacked up on the DVR.  Michael did a little more piddling outside but nothing major.

About 8:00 pm I got a call from Jay letting us know that one of our Heartland family members had been taken to the hospital and was in ICU.  He’s been having heart problems for a while now and insisted on coming to the rally even though his wife wanted him to stay home.  I’ve kept him in my prayers every day but think I need to put my prayers into overdrive now.  I’m sure he and his wife would appreciate you adding them to your prayer list.

We want to hear from you...whatcha got to say??
