Rub a dub dub....Michael cleans a tub

Rub a dub dub….Michael cleans a tub

Our service guy, Kevin,  serviced the generator on Monday.  He tries to service the generator every 2 weeks.  I didn’t think it had been that long but it had….the last time he was here was March 24th!  Anyway, he also topped off our fuel and water and we should be good to go for the rest of our stint here on this gate.  We’re kinda thinking we’ll be here till around the 18th of the April.

Michael has continued working on cleaning the totes from the basement.  I think he’s doing about 3 a day as he doesn’t want to over do it!  😉  He has 4 more to clean and then he’ll be finished.

They're working on the pad right across from us so we have a good view!

The pipeline is moving right along.  There’s a lot of welding and attaching of lengths of pipe going on.  Yesterday they dug a big trench from the separator to the new well.  Today they placed the long pipe that had been welded together into that trench.  Late in the afternoon another crew came and placed large wires and cables into the trench alongside the pipe.  The wires and cables are part of a safety system that will be used.

It took 8 or 9 guys to carry the long wires and cable and place it into the trench

Monday afternoon while Michael was working on his totes under the awning he rushed in and started closing the awning as fast as the little button would bring it in.  The wind blew so hard it rattled the whole coach and I could see the off-door slide rocking up and down.  Michael got the awning in in time and then went back out to secure anything that was still outside.  While he did that I brought the off-door slide in.  Along with the wind came rain but not a whole lot.  Looking at the radar we were on the far edge of the storm, thankfully.

We’ve done some more ‘planning’ for the summer months.  A couple more campground reservations and some get-togethers with family and friends.  Our calendar is starting to take shape so if you know we’ll be in your area and you’d like to get together….let us know!  We love getting together with family and friends and making new friends!

One good thing about Texas is you can usually see the weather front moving toward you.
