Next Phase Is Upon Us….Gobble, Gobble!

The workover rig arrived and we have the same crew as last time! They recognized us too!

Gate guarding has become a pleasure!  LOL  We’ve been able to sleep together the last 4 nights, the last 2 with NO interruptions whatsoever!  Yesterday (Thursday) the last vehicle left at 5:19 pm and we didn’t see another vehicle until this morning at 6:40 am.

When it’s quiet like that we take advantage and wander into the bedroom about 8:30 pm or so and lights out well before 9:30 pm.  Might as well since we don’t know what’s in store for us once this gate closes….could be another frac!  :-/

Wireline was completed today and moved out.  The workover rig was expected in tomorrow and was expected to start their part of the process on Sunday.  Well….that didn’t go as planned as the rig got here tonight about 7:00 pm.  So I’m assuming work will start tomorrow sometime.

The crew that is working on the pipeline between the 2 pads closest to us was done about 3:30 pm and doesn’t work weekends.  Sounds like we might be in for some more peace and quiet.  Awww….you just know we’re broken-hearted.  😉

Yesterday afternoon I had my dentist appointment – cleaning, exam & x-rays.  It went really well.  I’m such a chicken that even a cleaning scares the daylights outta me.  But the hygienist was great and I never was uncomfortable.  I have 2 tiny cavities that need fixing, while Michael has 1 larger one and 3 small cavities to be fixed.  I planned on making the appointments while I was there, unfortunately, the dentist is booked until after we leave.  They’ve put us on a waiting list but if we don’t get worked in we’ll have them write-up what needs to be done and take it to our old dentists in Wisconsin and get the work done there.

We have not used up our allotted data yet this month and actually had quite a bit left so we used some of it to watch a couple of episodes of a new TV show that we missed.  The show, ‘The 100‘, aired for the first time on March 19th and I didn’t get the DVR set up in time to record the first 2 episodes.  Yesterday morning we watched those 2 episodes on our laptops and then the third on the DVR.  We enjoyed the show a lot.  It’s similar to ‘Lost‘.  So if you like ‘Lost’ you may want to check it out.  It’s on the CW on Wednesday nights.

The cows wandered even closer to us last night…within 100 feet or so of the coach.  However, as soon as Michael walked near them they scattered and headed for the hills.

We also had a visit from a female turkey last night and this morning.  Last night, as soon as we opened the door she ran across the pad that the rig was on and was gone.  This morning, she was a bit braver and actually walked toward where all the work is being done on the pipeline.  I’ll just bet when she saw all those guys she didn’t stay around very long!

The weather has been consistently warming up…into the high 80s and low 90s the past few days.  Today only got into the mid 70s but it was welcome.  The only down-side to today was the wind!  The wind almost always blows here…not just a breeze…but blowing.  However, sometimes it’s crazy.  The wind picked up about 2:30 this morning…enough that we got up and pulled in both slides downstairs.  The off-door slide stayed in until about 4:00 pm when it was calm enough that we weren’t afraid we were going to lose a slide awning (again!).

Sounds like we won’t be getting anyone coming in until about 10:00 am tomorrow morning…can you say ‘Oh yeah’!?!

We want to hear from you...whatcha got to say??
