We had one oil truck come in last night about 9:30 pm and leave about 11:30 pm. Other than that…no traffic after 6:44 pm! Woohoo! Michael was up and ready when our day flow testers arrived at 5:30 am. We were told that they rigged down all night long and that their 3 lab trailers were going to be moved off to the side and they would be moving onto a new site.
We spent the day prepping for tomorrow’s move. I worked inside – laundry, dusting, sweeping, mopping, cleaning TV screens & mirrors and general stowing. And Michael worked outside – finishing wiping down the coach, taking down the new sunshade, putting away the mat, rope lights and general move preparation.
Around 2:00 pm this afternoon our service guy, Kevin, stopped by…he was here to tear us down! It seems that wires got crossed and Gate Guard Services were told we were being released today. GGS made a quick call to the company man and things were straightened out. Kevin will be back tomorrow morning about 11:00 am to get us moved to the Karnes City yard where we’ll wait for our next assignment.
Traffic was about the same as it’s been the last week. We had several companies come in to rig down what equipment they had left on site, 3 flow back loads and just one oil load hauled out. One of the guys that’s been in and out our gate periodically then entire time we’ve been on this gate said, ‘hopefully we’ll see you soon…we like y’all’. I’m tellin’ ya…these guys are so sweet! Later when I told him we might not be with the same oil company he said ‘darn, we don’t work with them…now we’ll have to train a whole new set of gate guards!’. It’s nice to know that they’ve enjoyed us as much as we’ve enjoyed them.
