One week from today we’ll be pulling out of Ocean Pond Campground! This 3 months has flown by and we’ve really enjoyed it here. The campground, itself, is a hidden gem, we’ve enjoyed meeting new people and I enjoyed my first volunteer gig!
Yesterday, Michael finished up washing the roof of the coach and it looks amazing! I may pick on how long he takes to complete tasks but the outcome is always awesome. Today he washed the front and back caps and will wash the rest before the week is out.
I pretty much finished up at the ranger station today. I only had a few tasks to complete and since Debra is on vacation all week and didn’t leave me any new tasks to do this will be my last day at the office. With that, I cleaned up my lunch box and stored it away! On Friday, we’ll take a ride up to the ranger station to turn our keys over to Leslie (so that she can give them to Debra next week) and do a final check for mail as we’re still expecting to items two arrive any day.
I tried a new recipe for crock pot Vegetable Beef Soup yesterday that turned out really, really good. If you’re interested, click HERE for the recipe. It was easy and super tasty and made plenty so that we now have an easy ready-to-go meal in the freezer too!
When I got home this afternoon I did some preparation for our holiday meals. Nothing fancy. Tomorrow we’ll just have cold cuts with veggies & dip, potato salad, deviled eggs, etc while we relax the day away. On Christmas day I’m making a turkey breast in the crock pot (new recipe again!) with the normal sides (mashed potatoes, corn, cranberries, etc)…again nothing fancy. I think we might have to break out some wine though!
We’ll spend Christmas Eve and Christmas day watching Christmas movies. Hallmark has a marathon scheduled – with lots of old movies we’ve not seen. We also plan to grab a few Munzees that are at the rest area near us. Other than that…just a nice quiet holiday.
