Campfire & Sunset

We’ve had a couple of pretty laid back days.

Saturday was errand day once again.  We headed into Lake City mid-afternoon and went to CiCi’s Pizza not knowing that they had just opened the previous Monday and they were packed!  However, we found a table easily enough and enjoyed lots of fresh pizza.  If you’ve never been to a CiCi’s give it a try.  For roughly $7.00 you get all you can eat pizza from the buffet and if they don’t have your favorite…just ask and they’ll make it for you.  The buffet also includes salad, soup, pasta, bread sticks and dessert.  My favorite is macaroni & cheese pizza…Mmmm…it’s wonderful!

After we finished eating we made a quick stop at the Dollar Store to pick up a couple of items and then headed over to Epiphany Catholic Church for the 5:00 pm mass.  There is a woman who leads the choir at this mass that has an amazing voice and I just love to listen to her sing.  I have to watch her sing to actually believe that the music is coming out of her! Wow!

Yay! My first omelet!

After church we drove over to Walmart to pick up our weekly groceries and our weekly treat…donuts!  Pretty sad when you look forward to 2 donuts from Walmart!  Grocery shopping completed we struck out on the 20 mile voyage home.  We we home about 8:15 pm, put our groceries away and settled in for the night.

Sunday was a really laid back day.  I started the day by making us each an omelet for breakfast (my very first every and they turned out great!)

The weather has been beautiful the last few days!  Highs in the mid 70s and lows in the high 40s – perfect for sleeping!  Since it was finally cool enough to enjoy a fire, Michael started a fire about 11:00 am and we enjoyed it for a good portion of the day.  I took my loom knitting project out and worked on it while we were in front of the fire.  We also made dinner in the dutch oven over the fire….nothing fancy just a hamburger stew.

After dinner we took a ride around the park to check things out and of course stopped and chatted with a few campers along the way.  One of the camp hosts had a death in the family and had to leave yesterday so we’ve offered to help out as much as possible until they return.

By the time we got home from our ride around the park it was nearly dark so we headed in side and hunkered down in our recliners to watch the Amazing Race.

It was a good weekend…but tomorrow brings Monday and I’ll have to head to the ‘office’ once again.
