Epiphany Catholic Church, Lake City, Florida

We went to mass at Epiphany Catholic Church in Lake City today.  It’s about a 20 mile one way drive from the campground.  It’s another very pretty church with the front being all stained glass windows.  We went to the 12:30 mass which was a bilingual mass so we expected some Spanish but it was mostly Spanish with a little English tossed in here and there.  We both really enjoy the Spanish music as it is very upbeat.  So many churches we’ve been to all of the music is very melancholy.  It’s just hard to follow along when all of the readings, prayers, etc are in Spanish.

While we were in town we made the most of our drive and made a few other stops too.  After church we filled our bellies at Ole Time Country

Buffet.  It was recommended to us by Stan & Sandy, two of the camp hosts at the park.  You could certainly tell that we are back in the south….fried chicken, fried fish, fried pork chops, fried okra, greens, field peas, banana pudding…LOL  Not that I’m complaining.  It was very good and for $9.99 all you can eat…not a bad deal either.

After our lunch Michael dropped me off at Walmart to pick up a few items while he went on to Lowes across the street to pick up a Fernco coupling so that he could hook up the sewer hose to the dump station.

We got home shortly after 5:00.  I put away the groceries and inventoried all the food in the house so that I have an idea of whats

The coupling used to attach the sewer hose to dump station

what while I make menus.  While I did that, Michael used the coupling he purchased to hook the sewer hose up to the dump station.

The rest of the evening was spent relaxing, watching Tv and finishing up some laundry.

We want to hear from you...whatcha got to say??
