Got a little chilly last night…51 degrees at 9:30 so we got a fire going in the fireplace to take the chill off. We were expecting a low of 48 but apparently that was surpassed as it was 43 when we got up…thank goodness for fireplaces! A hot chocolate kind of morning.
Many of the rally-goers pulled out today and at one point there was a back-up trying to get out of the park as one truck stopped to drop off their garbage on the way out. We’re always glad that we don’t have to hurry up and leave on Sunday in order to get home in time to relax for a few hours that evening before having to go back to work on Monday morning!
Today was my day to lay low…other than putting a roast in the crock pot I didn’t do much of anything other than play some games on Facebook! Ahhh….
Michael on the other hand rinsed off the truck and cleaned the front cap of the coach and also underneath the overhang of the 5th wheel. On our way here there was a dead something on the road which was unavoidable and it flung blood and guts on the lower front of the coach. Ewwww…
While in Crossville we noticed that the bottom of one of our barrel cabinets was beginning to pull away. Michael borrowed Jim’s brad nailer and fixed ‘er right up! While he was at it he reinforced the other one the same way as a preventative measure. He also put a few extra brads in the ‘ribs’ that go around the outside as a few of them were pulling away a bit too. We don’t store anything heavy in them…spices in one and plastic storage containers in the other.
When Jim came home from the RV show this evening he stopped by and asked us if we wanted to join he & Nancy as they were going to the Red Lion Cafe dinner. We were joined by 4 other couples. It worked out well since I didn’t get my roast in the crock pot as early as I would have liked so it wasn’t as tender as I’d have liked. So I let it cook while we were gone and we’ll have it for dinner tomorrow night! Win, win!
