Today is the 2nd birthday of Munzee! In celebration, today was a double points day so we decided to cap as many as possible. There were a lot in the area to cap and we got 120 of them…which doesn’t leave too many more in Goshen to grab before we leave here on the 14th. We finally got the last 18 here at the fairgrounds too…so as of right now every Munzee deployed at the fairgrounds has been turned ‘red’ on our maps! Whew!
We only had one really interesting Munzee today. This Munzee took us to Oak Ridge Cemetery to cap a virtual Munzee. The virtual took us to the front of the cemetery but since the ‘notes’ on the description was so intriguing we went further. The ‘note’ read, ‘There is a statue of an angel over the grave of Michael Bashor that is said to cry tears of blood’. Intriguing but a bit freaky, yes? It took us a little bit to find the grave as this is a quite large cemetery.
While we were out and about we made a few non-Munzee stops. One at Heartland to order some materials for the basement remodel. Another stop was at Grainger to pick up the plug adapter that Michael had ordered last Friday so that he could fix the broken shower drain pipe. The last stop was at Lowes to pick up a few odds and ends for the basement project as well.
When we got home we had a quick dinner (brisket sandwiches – thanks, Zack!) and then Michael went outside to replace the broken plug adapter with the new one. In reality it was a very easy fix but since the shower drain is in such an awkward spot Michael really had to contort his body to fit into a very tight space and after a little hassle to get it attached to the existing fixtures he got it done! We tested it by running water in the shower and thankfully…no leaks! Yay!
