Yesterday morning Zack & Paityn picked us up shortly after 8:00 am and we headed 15 miles north. Zack was interested in a portable air conditioner that was for sale at a moving sale. They have no central air and this 10,000 BTU air conditioner had been barely used by its elderly owner. Michael & Zack both thought it was a good deal so they loaded it into the back of the truck.
On the way back to Vancouver we went on a Munzee frenzy…hunting and deploying! I captured a total of 21, with 2 being Mysteries, 1 virtual and 1 gold! Fun Stuff! The whole time Paityn was saying, ‘More Munzee’s!’ Oh my gosh…she’s a hoot! She and I were partners while Papa & Papaw went off in different directions!
When we arrived back at Zack & Kelsea’s, Michael & Zack went to work in the garage. I’d asked Michael quite some time ago to make more compartments in my silverware drawer and he also wanted to add some more brad nails to the bottom of the drawer as the knives were able to sneak under the dividers that were already in place. Within 2 hours they had my drawer completed and it looked great! We’ve decided to compartmentalize the drawer beneath this one as well (stay tuned!) and Kelsea decided she wants them to do the same thing to their drawers in their Northtrail.
When they finished the drawer we had a quick lunch and then Michael and Zack headed to Portland to Woodcrafters so that Zack could pick up some Oak boards so that the two of them can make a head-board for Paityn’s new big girl bed. Zack made a dresser for her a few months ago and the head-board will match.
We had a nice dinner of Baked Spaghetti before we called it a night and Zack drove us home. It was a long day and we were ready for our recliners!
Today, for the most part we relaxed and caught up on chores around the house. We took a quick trip to the grocery store to pick up some groceries for the coming week.
We met the Washington Barnett’s at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for 5:00 pm mass. It was nice to look down the pew and have our children and grandchildren there with us. The homily was directed at the children, who were called up front to sit in front of the priest as he led sort of a question and answer session with them. It was very nice. However, the overall feel of the church just didn’t give any of us warm fuzzies. Zack & Kelsea would like to find a church to attend so hopefully we’ll find something that will suit them while we’re here.
We also added the Washington sticker to our map!
