Church Of The Week & A Few Munzee’s

Posted by on February 23, 2013

We had a nice quiet day today.  The biggest thing we did was went to mass at Chapel 2 on Ft. Bliss.  Mass was at 4:00 and was similar to what we’re used to.  The priest seemed to be down to earth and easy-going.  We witnessed 2 baptisms which is always nice to be apart of.  The church wasn’t overly packed which was nice.

How many Catholic churches do you know that have a tank sitting out front?

After church we went to Macaroni Grill for dinner.  We’d not ever been and we have several gift cards and thought we’d use one and try it out.  We were both very pleased with our meals although we both brought the majority of it home since we each ordered a salad and shared two ‘small’ appetizers.  I say small because what our waiter said they were…however, small they were not…they were huge!  Oh well…lunch or dinner for tomorrow!

Michael also emptied out the basement so that we could take some pictures of the floor.  Due to all the water leaks we’ve had the floor near the UDC is getting pretty ‘soft’ in several places and we’re hoping to work with Heartland to get it fixed or replaced.  Keep your fingers crossed!

I almost forgot to mention that after we left church and before we got to Macaroni Grill we hunted down 5 Munzee‘s.  Unfortunately 2 had been removed but we got credit for the other 3.  We also each deployed 2 Munzee’s.  Tomorrow we’ll hunt down the remaining few here in El Paso…and I’m sure that we’ll deploy a few as well.

We want to hear from you...whatcha got to say??
