We slept late today…not getting out of bed until after 8:30…that really felt good! Michael made a yummy breakfast and we relaxed in our recliners for the majority of the morning.
We took a ride to the post office to mail a birthday package to our granddaughter, Paityn, who turns 2 on February 1st. While we were out we decided to use one of the MANY gift cards we have for various restaurants. We chose to go to Longhorn and enjoyed sharing our meals – a filet & salmon. It’s been a while since we’ve gone out to eat with just the two of us…we enjoy going out with others but it was nice for it to be just us. We both really enjoy spending time together and an impromptu dinner date
While we were out we dropped off some literature regarding the Heartland Open House at Ron Hoover RVs next week along with information about the owners club & forum. We only stopped at the Heartland rigs here in the park (7 others beside us). Many weren’t home but those that were were receptive and friendly.
At 6:00 pm we went up to the clubhouse to play Jokers with our new friends. We had 2 tables of 4 playing this evening. At our table the girls beat the guys 3 games to 2 while the other table played a total of 7 games but I’m not sure if the girls or the guys came out ahead. Several of the guys were getting up early in the morning so we wrapped up about 8:00 pm. I think they’ll be playing again Sunday night so we’ll probably play again then. We’re really enjoying this new game and have plans to get marbles and cards at the Don-Wes Flea Market the next time we’re there. Michael has plans to make a few boards while we’re in Washington in April with the help of our oldest son, Zack….shhh…he doesn’t know it yet.
