Our ‘wake up’ time seems to have changed as it once was between 7:00 and 7:30 it is now between 8:00 and 8:30. I kind of like the old schedule better – hoping my body adjusts back.
We had a nice cool day yesterday, with a high of about 75 or so. Opened up all the windows to enjoy the fresh air and slept with them open last night. Woke up this morning and it was about 70, overcast and foggy. Unfortunately, the cool snap will be leaving and we had a high of 92 today. Had to close up all the windows about noon and turn the ac back on. I’m looking forward to the days where we can open everything up and leave it opened up for a while.
Not much to do today. We defrosted the freezer as all the extra condensation causes it to frost over much quicker than normal. So far it doesn’t look like the ice maker’s working…but Michael says I gotta have patience. We’ll see.
Went to the commissary for our weekly groceries and stopped at general delivery to see if we had any mail. We were expecting 3 items – replacement water pump, two gas cards we received via rebates & a pair of prescription sunglasses for me. We thought we might get the sunglasses today…but we got everything! Score! Now Michael has a new project to work on now. Don’t want him to get bored in his new retired life!
The prescription sunglasses I ordered were from zennioptical.com. Awesome place to order your glasses from as this pair of sunglasses and a regular pair of glasses that I ordered a few months ago cost less than $40 each (my last pairs were about $300 each)! AND they’re both progressive bifocals! It’s easy to order….all you need is your prescription and your PD. PD means pupillary distance. Sometimes it’s written on your prescription…if not…go to Walmart or an optical shop and ask them to measure your pupillary distance. Give it a try…it’s worth it!
