Moving on: Ft Rucker, AL To Gulf State Park, AL

I had the coach ready to go except for unhooking the power and hitching up to the truck by about 10:00 am.  Michael came by about 10:30 am to hook up and move me and the coach to a parking lot by the beach until he could call it quits for the day as we had to be out of our site by 11:00 am.  While I waited…

Dipped my feet in the waters of Lake Tholocco and it was pretty nice!

They've made a nice swimming area

I was at West Beach - Across the lake is East Beach

always helicopter going overhead...and of course I took a few more pictures

Best Warrior events for today are all center around firing their weapons – during the day and at night.  Events don’t actually wrap up until Saturday but Michael had put in a pass for this weekend quite awhile ago and thankfully it wasn’t taken away.

Whew!  Long day.  Michael didn’t end up getting done with work until about 3:00 pm and it took us until almost 8:00 pm to get to the park.  When we got to the park the Heartland group was at the activity center for a meet & greet & ice cream social so we went straight there without even parking the coach in our site.  We visited for a while and then followed Jim B to our site (after he led us astray).  It was quite dark but thanks to our great Heartland friends (Jim B, Mickey M, Jerry, Jay & Stella C) we got backed into our site and leveled in no time!

Really looking forward to some good fellowship tomorrow!

We’re glad you made it safe and sound. Now kick back and relax and tell Michael to do the same.
