In the afternoon we went into Wetumpka (about 5 miles north of the RV park) and grabbed a salad and shared a Black Forest ham & cheese sandwich at Pizza Hut. Before going back home we stopped at Wal-Mart to pick up some soda and a few other odds & ends including 2 new door handles to replace the current ones on the bathroom and bedroom doors.
The current door handle on the bathroom door has been a sore spot for almost the entire time we have been living in the coach. For some reason the ring around the base of the handle refuses to stay on. It doesn’t matter how many times we put it back in place it is off the next time we go to open the door. We decided to pick up new handles similar to those already on the doors and replace them. We’ve never had any problems with the bedroom door (it’s not opened and closed very often) but we wanted matching handles so we picked up two.
We took a walk around the park this afternoon. We were surprised that there weren’t more people out as it was a nice day. 60 degrees and sunny. It’s interesting to see the different trailers parked here – the various sizes, brands and ages. We currently have quite a few pipeline and road construction workers in the park but the park is actually on the emptier side. Many of the units have the windows blocked off (I’m sure to keep in/out heat). I just don’t know how people can live like that. I love to have the window shades up and the windows open. To be able to see out and enjoy a nice breeze….ahhhh…
After our walk we ate dinner and watched Oceans. A very cool movie/documentary narrated by Pierce Brosnan about the goings on below sea level. Try it!
A few days ago I posted about the back splash that Michael added to the coach. He was able to caulk around the edges and complete that project today.
